WHO LIVES ON THE ROCKS UNDER THE SEA… and also above the sea when the tide is out….THE BREADCRUMB SPONGE pants.  Catchy right?  If you are going to find any sponge on the rockyshore, all of which are tricky to ID, your best bet is that it is this one. It can be yellow, green, orange…. it loves living on overhangs, in damp places and grows over the rocks, encrusting it. This animal… yes animal… is one of lifes earliest lifeforms and can still be seen today, you can even find BRIGHT GREEN it in this video!
